About:
"Home" follows Eliana, who returns to Latvia to visit her father's family two years after leaving, hoping to rekindle the warmth and closeness of her childhood. Instead of the reunion she envisioned, she finds a household simmering with tension and aloofness. As a seemingly innocent dinner unravels into suffocation, Eliana realises that her family's deep-seated beliefs have created an impenetrable divide. What was once familiar now feels foreign, and she is confronted with a painful truth: the family she remembers is a distant memory. Through moments of isolation, strange discussions, and emotional distance, "Home" explores the struggle to bridge a gap that time, belief, and disillusionment have made impossible to cross.

2026 — Revolt, Battersea Arts Centre, London
Director, DOP & Scenographer of the experimental theatre production Revolt, premiered at Battersea Arts Centre as part of the London Borough of Culture festival. Featured in a review by Izba Arts.
Press:
"Jakovleva’s direction grounds the production in large-scale digital projection, transforming the stage into something closer to the inside of a mind than a theatre set. The scenography does not merely illustrate the protagonist’s psychology – it becomes the psychology."
